Iran threatens to close the Strait of Hormuz due to ongoing U.S. blockades, escalating tensions in the region.

The Strait of Hormuz has remained almost completely closed as the U.S. and Iran have disputed the terms of their ceasefire agreement.

Iran says it fully reopened the Strait of Hormuz to commercial vessels.

“With the continuation of the blockade, the Strait of Hormuz will not remain open,” parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf says.
