The number of delayed and canceled flights to and from LaGuardia airport continued to pile up Tuesday, a day after a plane collided with a fire truck on the runway.

The plane struck a Port Authority fire truck on the runway, prompting authorities to halt all operations at the airport till Monday afternoon.

The airport warned travelers to expect “residual delays and cancellations.”

The Federal Aviation Administration said the airport was expected to remain shut until 2 p.m. ET on Monday.

An Air Canada flight collided with a Port Authority vehicle at LaGuardia Airport, causing significant damage and police response.

The CRJ-900 plane, which was coming from Montreal, struck the vehicle at a speed of about 24 miles per hour (39 kph), Flightradar24 said.

The plane, arriving from Montreal, collided with a firefighting vehicle responding to a separate incident.
