DUBAI: There’s a particular kind of movie magic born when performance and creative collaboration come together at their absolute peak. “Project Hail Mary” is the latest example, anchored by another stellar turn from Ryan Gosling, and helmed by directing duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The film, adapted from Andy Weir’s bestselling novel, follows Ryland Grace, a middle-school science teacher turned reluctant astronaut tasked with saving Earth from an extinction-level threat: the Sun is slowly dying because of microbial “dots” that are eating it up.
