Israeli military says struck Hezbollah member in Beirut
BEIRUT/JERUSALEM: An Israeli strike hit a member of Iran-backed group Hezbollah in Lebanon’s capital, the military said on Friday. “A short while ago, the IDF struck a Hezbollah terrorist in the area of Beirut,” the Israeli military said in a statement. A drone also struck a residential apartment in Beirut’s Burj Hammoud district on the northern outskirts of the Lebanese capital, Lebanon’s state media said. It is the first time the area has been targeted.
