The justices sounded skeptical during oral arguments Wednesday of his sweeping claims of authority to impose tariffs as he sees fit.

The Supreme Court will begin hearing arguments Wednesday over whether President Donald Trump overstepped by using emergency powers to impose tariffs on more than 100 countries.

Trump has called the case one of the most important in the country’s history.
