The two union activists, Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris, were granted conditional release after over three years in prison and allowed to enter France's embassy in Tehran, but are still banned from leaving the country.

Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris, who have been imprisoned in Iran since 2022, are 'on their way to the French embassy in Tehran,' French President Emmanuel Macron announced on X.

Cecile Kohler, 41, and her partner, Jacques Paris, 72, had been jailed on charges of spying for France and Israel.
