Imelda is forecast to strengthen as Hurricane Humberto continues to bring strong winds to region

While Hurricane Humberto continues to strengthen out in the Atlantic Ocean, it's not the storm that poses the most danger to U.S. shores.

The National Hurricane Center's forecast track warns a new system, to be named Imelda, could stall offshore and dump heavy rain on the Southeast.

As the National Hurricane Center tracks Hurricane Humberto, it's also watching a tropical depression likely to become Tropical Storm Imelda.

Tropical Storm Imelda formed over the Bahamas on Sept. 28, and is forecast to bring rough seas, storm surge and potentially rain through mid-week.

Forecast track could take storm, which caused disruption in Bahamas and Cuba, away from US east coast
