The CIA announced Wednesday that Iran's nuclear program has been "severely damaged" by recent, targeted strikes, with several key facilities reportedly destroyed.

An earlier U.S. intelligence assessment reportedly found the attacks only set the program back by a few months.

The US spy agency cited new intelligence, in a statement supporting Trump’s claim that the facilities had been completely destroyed.

At a Nato summit, President Trump again maintains the raid "obliterated" Iran's nuclear facilities.

The statement comes as Trump has lashed out at media reports questioning how he's described the effects of U.S. airstrikes.
