Egypt detains hundreds of activists planning to join march to Gaza border

Egypt has begun detaining and deporting hundreds of activists who arrived in Cairo on Wednesday to join the Global March to Gaza, a mass mobilization that describes itself as a nonviolent, civilian-led effort to end Israel's siege of Gaza. The march plans to culminate in an encampment at the Rafah border crossing.
