Meta is suing a company for an app that allows people to create Ai-generate nudes or sexually explicit images without their consent, the social media company said Thursday.

Meta has sued the maker of a popular AI "nudify" app, Crush AI, that reportedly ran thousands of ads across its platforms.

The lawsuit is against Joy Timeline HK Limited, which used Meta ads to promote an app that uses AI to take a photo of someone and create nude imagery of them.

The apps use artificial intelligence to create fake nude images of people without their consent.

Ads keep slipping through the cracks.
