Colombia was rocked by a string of 24 coordinated bomb and gun attacks that killed at least seven people across the country’s southwest Tuesday (June 10, 2025), deepening a security crisis roiling the Andean nation.

The bombings came as the country was already on edge after the attempted assassination of a presidential candidate in Bogotá.

Assailants used car bombs, rifle fire, and a suspected drone in the attacks. No one has claimed responsibility, but guerillas from the former Farc militia group operate nearby.
