Coach Kevin O’Connell said Murray is progressing, but his status for this weekend’s game against the Chicago Bears is still uncertain.Murray took a vicious hit in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. The 29-year-old was flushed from the pocket and scrambled to the right. As he slid, Packers safety Javon Bullard and edge rusher Lukas Van Ness collided with him and gave a serious knock to his head.Murray’s helmet popped off. After lying on the ground for several minutes as medical staff surrounded him, he walked with Vikings director of sports medicine Matt Duhamel to the locker room. He was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game with a concussion.Vikings rally late to beat Packers“I was very, very happy to see him walk off the field,” Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson said. “To see him in the locker room, having a smile on his face, congratulating the guys is definitely great news. Hopefully, we get him back sooner than later.”Minnesota’s offense struggled under Murray on its first couple of drives. He completed 3-of-5 passes for 18 yards. He also threw an interception in the face of Packers pressure.The Vikings beat Green Bay on the back of an inspired performance from backup Carson Wentz. Minnesota’s defense also swarmed Packers quarterback Jordan Love to close out the game. The NFC North win gives the Vikings some breathing room ahead of a forthcoming matchup in Chicago against the Bears.
