A coalition of labour activists and Indigenous leaders gathered outside of city hall this morning to take aim at Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Canadian Investment Summit that kicks off today in Toronto.
The “Many Vs. The Money” press conference at Nathan Phillips Square was a precursor to a protest that will take place later this evening to oppose what organizers argue will be the potential privatization of Canada’s public infrastructure from global investment, resulting in the transfer of public money into private hands.
