Europe must not give in to Russian intimidation but should instead step up its support for Ukraine.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas said this while speaking to journalists ahead of the European Arctic Summit in Finland, Ukrinform reports.
“It is clearly meant to scare Western countries from supporting Ukraine or going to Ukraine to show their support. It was clearly a message to the Western world,” Kallas stressed.
In her view, the key question is what Europe will take from this message.
“I think we should act the opposite,” the EU High Representative stressed. “We should show that we are there for Ukraine and that we are not scared off.”
