The overnight Russian attack on Ukraine should dispel any doubts in Poland about the need for military support for Kyiv, as the war is taking place very close to the Polish border.

Poland’s Deputy Minister of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk made the statement on X, according to Ukrinform.

“Anyone wondering whether Ukraine should be supported militarily should draw conclusions from this night,” Tomczyk wrote.

He said that for many people, the war “may still seem like something distant and almost surreal, but in reality, it is happening very close to the Polish border.”

“Today’s attacks show this very clearly,” the Deputy Defense Minister stressed.
