Former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has thrown his political weight behind Peter Obi, accusing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the controversial circumstances surrounding the Labour Party’s former presidential candidate’s recent movement in Benue State.

Ortom made the position known during a courtesy visit to Obi at his Abuja residence, following the reported blockade that disrupted the presidential candidate’s planned visit to the state.

The former governor, according to reports from the meeting, reaffirmed his support for Obi and expressed concern over what he described as an unacceptable restriction on the candidate’s movement.

Ortom reportedly alleged that the decision resulting in Obi being prevented from entering Benue was linked to President Tinubu, a claim that could further inflame political tensions surrounding the incident.adsads
