1400 Yemeni refugees arrive in Djibouti in 24 hours, minister says

At least 1400 refugees fleeing Yemen have arrived in Djibouti, according to Djibouti’s minister of economy and finance, Ilyas Moussa Dawaleh.

At least 46,000 people have been displaced in Yemen since fighting escalated last week, the UN’s International Organization for Migration (IOM) said on Friday. Since July, at least 76,000 people have been displaced in Yemen.

Yemeni government-run Executive Unit for the Management of Displaced Persons Camps said 1,367 families were displaced on 8 September alone in the provinces of Taiz, Al-Hudaydah and Lahj.
