Socialist leader Nikos Androulakis is expected to use his address at the Thessaloniki International Fair on Saturday to argue that Greece needs political change and that PASOK is ready to deliver it immediately.
The opposition leader is expected to focus on social inequalities and present PASOK’s plan to create conditions that provide “opportunities for all.”
As a key point of differentiation from the ruling New Democracy party, he is expected to emphasize not only a fairer distribution of wealth but also a strategy to increase the wealth generated by the country through higher production, stronger exports and stable, well-paid jobs.
Seeking to demonstrate that PASOK has a prepared governing agenda, Androulakis is expected to pledge that, if the party wins the election, it will submit seven bills to Parliament within its first six months in office.
The proposed measures would address rising living costs, employment and wages, development and investment, demographic challenges, private debt, state reform, and the strengthening of public health and education.
