We have to come. We have to meet, to speak and make decisions," he said.Zelenskyy said the outcome of any meeting would matter more than the words exchanged between the two leaders."It's not about words. What I will tell him or what he wants to tell me, it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter. [...] Results matter. That's it."The Kremlin has not confirmed whether Putin will attend the Miami summit. The Russian president has not personally attended a G20 leaders’ summit since 2019.Zelenskyy highlights Canada partnershipZelenskyy made the comments while discussing agreements signed with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday, including a 100-year partnership declaration.He said the agreement covered several areas, including security, financing, energy, veteran policy, culture and humanitarian cooperation."So it's a global decision, a really historic decision, and I'm happy that we have it," he said.The two leaders also signed an agreement on cooperation in drone production involving several Ukrainian companies.Putin warns against Western troops in UkrainePutin’s possible attendance at the G20 summit comes as he warns European countries against sending troops to Ukraine.Speaking to reporters in New Delhi on the sidelines of the 2026 Brics summit, Putin said Russia did not threaten European countries and had no reason to seek a conflict with them."There is no such threat, and there has never been. All issues were settled as a result of the Second World War. And what happened later, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, was done with the consent of the Russian Federation as the successor of the Soviet Union. Everything that runs counter to those arrangements runs counter to our interests and does not comply with the fundamental principles of international law and the UN Charter."He added, “Now they are talking about how they are thinking about bringing troops to the territory of Ukraine. This means war with Russia,” the Russian President added.Zelenskyy and Putin have not met in person since February 2022. The war has entered its fifth year, with European countries continuing to support Ukraine and the United States seeking to mediate between Kyiv and Moscow.Earlier this month, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, met Zelenskyy after travelling to Moscow. Russia’s Finance Minister Anton Siluanov was also invited by the US to attend a G20 meeting in North Carolina last month, a move that angered some European officials.
