According to British intelligence, 500,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, with the vast majority of the casualties occurring since January 2023.

Details: Knighton said Russia's total military casualties, including those wounded, have been estimated at 1.5 million service personnel since February 2022. He said the vast majority of these casualties occurred from January 2023 onwards.

Knighton also stressed that 500,000 Russians have been killed in the Russia-Ukraine war. "I think these numbers illustrate clearly the senseless and futile waste of human life for such little progress, and against such an illegitimate aim of President Putin," he said. [N.B.
