The Nigerian government has directed school authorities to maintain close coordination with security agencies as Federal Unity Colleges nationwide prepare to resume academic activities on Monday, September 14, 2026.

The Federal Ministry of Education said relevant security agencies had been informed of the resumption arrangements and were maintaining heightened vigilance around the Federal Unity Colleges and their immediate environments.

The ministry gave the assurance in a statement issued on Friday by Boriowo Folasade, the Director of Press and Public Relations, amid preparations for the new academic session.

According to the ministry, all Federal Unity Colleges across the country would resume academic activities on Monday as scheduled.
