The Federal Government has assured parents, guardians and students of safety as all Federal Unity Colleges nationwide resume academic activities on Sept. 14.
This is contained in a statement issued on Friday by Mrs Folasade Boriowo, Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, on behalf of the Minister, Dr Tunji Alausa.
Alausa said that necessary arrangements had been put in place to ensure a safe, smooth and seamless commencement of the new academic session.
“The safety and wellbeing of students and staff remain central to the Federal Government’s commitment to providing a secure and conducive environment for teaching and learning,” Alausa said.
The minister said relevant security agencies had been duly informed of the resumption arrangements and were maintaining heightened vigilance around the Federal Unity Colleges and their immediate environments.
