President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia’s escalation using “Shahed” drones is gradually becoming increasingly terrorist in nature. In particular, throughout the day, the Russians have been deliberately targeting gas stations in Kyiv, and there have also been strikes on the Kyivstar building.
The head of state reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Russia’s escalation using ‘Shahed’ drones is gradually becoming increasingly terrorist in nature. Throughout the day, the Russians have been deliberately targeting gas stations in Kyiv. Two people have died today alone as a result of these strikes. My condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the victims,” he wrote.
The president added that the Kyivstar company building was also struck. He noted that these attacks have been ongoing since last night. In particular, strikes were carried out in the Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipro, Odesa, Donetsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv regions.
“We cannot just wait while Russia refines its repertoire of killings. Right now, we need to focus as much attention as possible on securing the skies, finding ways to protect people, and scaling up our response to Russian drones. I thank everyone who is helping to strengthen Ukraine’s air force and air defense systems with the necessary missiles. All of this saves lives every day,” he said.
