Ukrainian forces struck a Russian defense-industry plant producing components for military aircraft engines, along with air defense systems, a radar station and drone facilities, the AFU General Staff said on Friday, Sept. 11. The most significant target was the Snizhne Machine-Building Plant in the occupied Donetsk region. The facility produces components for gas-turbine engines, including compressor and turbine blades, and supplies parts used in Russian military aviation. Ukrainian forces also targeted two Pantsir-S1 air defense systems in Taganrog, Rostov Oblast, a Russian radar station in Berezki, Bryansk Oblast, and a facility in Donetsk used to store, prepare and launch attack drones. In the occupied Luhansk region, Ukrainian forces struck an FPV drone operator training center and a unit of the Chechen Akhmat forces in Petropavlivka. The General Staff did not provide details on the extent of damage at the targeted sites, saying the results were still being assessed. The strikes are part of Ukraine’s ongoing campaign against Russian military infrastructure and the defense-industrial network supporting Moscow’s war against Ukraine.
