Television personality Tayla Meath has died after losing a “long and incredibly difficult battle” with cancer.The presenter, who was 30, appeared on The Dog House Australia and was a passionate animal lover who worked in a shelter giving dogs a second chance to find their forever homes. She was remembered by her colleagues on the Channel 10 program for the extraordinary love, kindness and care she showed towards animals.A spokesman posted on social media that she made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.“Our hearts go out to her family, friends and all who loved her during this incredibly difficult time,” the post read.Ms Meath was diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, a rare type of cancer that forms in glandular tissues, according to the Cancer Council.A GoFundMe page set up for Ms Meath said she took her last breath surrounded by the people she loved most.“Tayla’s family would like to thank every single person who has loved her, supported her, encouraged her, and walked beside them through the hardest chapter of their lives,” organiser April Faulkner said.“They are now learning how to live with the unimaginable loss of their girl.“Tayla’s journey was long and painful, but she never gave up. She fought every single day. “She lived, she loved, she laughed, and she kept pushing forward even when things were incredibly hard.”
