OpenAI launches ChatGPT for Financial Services with built-in financial data and GPT-6 AstraOpenAI has launched ChatGPT for Financial Services, a version of ChatGPT designed for banks, investment firms and other financial institutions. OpenAI said the model can work with figures, tables and notes in financial documents. It can also use financial information to perform analysis and create outputs such as spreadsheets, documents and presentations.In an OfficeQA Pro test cited by OpenAI, GPT-6 Astra scored 69.9%, compared with 60.2% for GPT-5.6 Sol and 62.4% for Claude Fable 5.1. These include SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning and role-based access controls.OpenAI said a firm's business data is not used to train its models by default. Data is encrypted both at rest and in transit, while administrators can configure workspace retention. Compliance teams can also export supported workspace logs through the OpenAI Compliance Platform for use in audit and investigation workflows.Firms can control access to skills and apps based on user roles. They can also enable or disable supported app actions and create multiple workspaces to enforce information barriers.
