New York Fashion Week 2026: Coach celebrates 85th anniversary with festive SS27 showStuart Vevers delivered a party-ready runway of sequins, party hats and archival bags, with Elle Fanning and Troye Sivan in attendanceLast month Coach owner Tapestry reported that it achieved annual revenue of US$8 billion in its fiscal year ending in June 2026, driven largely by Coach. The label has been on a roll, growing into a roughly US$7 billion business, according to a recent report in trade publication WWD. Photo: HandoutThe show began with a series of monochrome – almost drab-looking – looks: oversize jackets worn with nothing underneath and matching pants were paired with scuffed white tennis sneakers, while shrunken tank tops in distressed leather came with front pockets in the shape of the label’s signature kisslock bags.Gigi Yim and Sherry Kong were among the front-row guests. Sequinned dresses in bright hues such as pink were accessorised with cone-shaped party hats and crowns while models’ arms and hair were covered in glitter and confetti. Some of the outfits looked like actual presents: made of shiny fabrics, they were laden with bows, ribbons and whistles, as well as birthday cards and gift boxes made of leather.Sequins and confetti embellished some of the looks and bags.
