Over that impressive run, the animated musical fantasy racked up more than 1.1 billion hours viewed and over 676 million views.It’s a rare feat for any Netflix film to remain among the streamer’s top titles for such an extended period, particularly as most movies in its ever-evolving library tend to only stay relevant for a few weeks. During that time, the notorious Silicon Valley founder allowed a camera crew to film her final days of freedom (34 to be exact). But as the film’s logline teases, “What begins as an intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon becomes a mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss.”The three-hour film had its top-secret world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival this past weekend, just before its first trailer surfaced online. And judging by the footage, it’s anything but your typical documentary.Fielder, the satirist who has built a reputation for blurring the boundaries between fiction and reality on acclaimed shows like “Nathan for You” and “The Rehearsal,” takes on both directing duties and an on-camera role in the film. By design, his presence underscores how unusual it was for Holmes to grant cameras such extensive daily access to her life — as well as to her husband, hospitality heir Billy Evans, who reportedly appears in the film — at the time, especially after federal prosecutors branded the former Theranos CEO a liar and cheat during her 2021 fraud trial.“I’m not that person, I can promise you that. I don’t have anything to deceive you on. Of course I’m not deceiving you,” a wide-eyed, smiling Holmes tells Fielder directly in the teaser, barely blinking as she attempts to convey sincerity.“I’m engaging with you as a human being,” she adds. “Why would I deceive you?
