Canada intends to send Ukraine one-third of all the combat drones it manufactures.

As an Ukrinform correspondent reports, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said this during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Calgary.

“Importantly, one-third of all the drones we manufacture will support Ukraine’s defense,” Carney said.

He added that Canada would introduce a drone procurement system in its armed forces modeled on the Ukrainian approach.

“Building on the successful model that Ukraine developed, we are launching a national drone marketplace, giving individual units of the Canadian Armed Forces direct access to nearly 400 trusted Canadian suppliers,” the Prime Minister said.
