Kyiv Post correspondents could confirm that powerful explosions were heard in the city center after local authorities issued a yellow drone warning at 6:31 p.m. under the country’s newly introduced two-tier siren system. An all-clear green signal was issued at 7:07 p.m. On Thursday morning, a gas station in Kyiv, belonging to the state-owned gas network Ukrnafta, was also attacked by a Russian drone. Available footage shows that it was a direct hit. Three locals were injured in the attack, which came a day after rumored reports circulating on social media that Russia compiled a plan to strike around 20 gas stations in the capital. Kyiv Post reached out to the government about the legitimacy of the rumored list but had not received a response at the time of publication.
