A British man made plans to sabotage a drone factory in Wiltshire on the instructions of a Russian intelligence operative, a court has heard.
Joshua Cammidge, 31, is accused of conducting research on potential targets in his hometown of Swindon and offering the details to a representative of the GRU Volunteer Corps – a group banned by the British Government for being controlled by Russia’s military intelligence service.
Prosecutors allege that Cammidge received instructions from Aiden Minnis, a British man who is fighting on behalf of the Russian military against Ukraine and is believed to be linked to the GRU Volunteer Corps.

Prosecutor Warren Stanier told Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday that Cammidge had been in contact with Minnis on Facebook before moving to the Telegram app and messaging frequently between 28 August and 3 September.
