Polymarket has named Warren Jenson as its first Chief Financial Officer, a hire that says a lot about where the prediction market platform thinks it’s headed. Jenson has held the CFO seat at Amazon, Electronic Arts, Delta Air Lines, and NBC, which is a resume that doesn’t land at a startup unless the startup is thinking seriously about becoming something much larger.
The appointment was announced on September 10, 2026, more than six years after Polymarket’s founding. Going that long without a CFO is common in early-stage crypto startups, but it becomes conspicuous once a company is chasing a $21 billion valuation.
The numbers behind the hire
Polymarket is currently exploring a funding round of approximately $1 billion, led by 1789 Capital, at that $21 billion valuation figure. For context, that would place it among the most valuable crypto-adjacent consumer platforms in existence.
The platform’s annualized revenue run rate has surpassed $1 billion since it relaunched its exchange in late 2025, which gives Jenson something real to work with.
