Now that the iPhone Duo is official, how do its hardware specifications compare with the similarly sized Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8? Let’s find out.
iPhone Duo and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, compared
Earlier this year, Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold8, its third foldable in the Galaxy lineup. Its dimensions closely matched those rumored at the time for Apple’s first foldable iPhone, including a 10:16 outer display and a 4:3 aspect ratio when unfolded.
Today, Apple officially announced its own foldable, the iPhone Duo, at the “surprise and Shine” event, where it also announced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, and the AirPods 5 with Active Noise Cancellation.
With the iPhone Duo set to launch on October 23, we’ll have to wait a bit longer for more in-depth comparisons of their hinges, displays, how noticeable the crease is both visually and to the touch, overall sturdiness, performance, and so on.
