Following a drone attack on September 6, the Ryazan Oil Refinery, owned by Rosneft, ceased operations.
According to Ukrinform, Reuters reported this, citing two industry sources.
According to the agency’s sources, the Ryazan refinery’s main unit, AVT-6, as well as another major unit, AVT-4, were shut down following the attack.
It is noted that AVT-6, which, according to the sources, caught fire during the attack, is capable of refining 8 million metric tons of crude oil per year (about 160,000 barrels per day), which accounts for nearly half of the refinery’s capacity.
According to the publication, the AVT-4 unit can process 4 million metric tons of crude oil per year.
