The Rosneft-owned Ryazan oil refinery has been forced to suspend operations following a Ukrainian drone strike on the facility last weekend, two industry sources told Reuters on Thursday.
The sources said the oil refinery's main unit, CDU-6, as well as another primary unit, CDU-4, were shut down after the attack.
CDU-6, which caught fire in the attack, can process 8 million metric tons of oil per year, or around 160,000 barrels per day, the sources said, accounting for almost half of the plant's capacity. CDU-4 can process 4 million tons of oil per year.
Another primary unit, CDU-3, has been under maintenance since mid-May.
The sources said repairs to the damaged units could take up to several weeks.
