Iceland is set to become the first British High Street brand to open a shop in the Falklands.
The frozen food retailer will open the new supermarket in the islands' capital Stanley in early December.
It comes just days after Argentine president Javier Milei reopened the row over the ownership of the islands and vowed to 'recover' the territory.
Iceland boss Richard Walker, who is known for campaigning on retail crime, said: 'We are proud to be backing Britain by becoming the first UK high street retailer to open in the Falkland Islands. The Falklands are a special part of the British family and it's always been an ambition of mine to support it.'
He added that the opening will mark an 'important moment for the business' and its 'international aspirations'.
