S&P 500 futures were flat Thursday morning as traders looked to August producer price data, with oil above $100 a barrel

U.S. stock futures pointed to a cautious open Thursday as investors braced for the first of two inflation reports due this week, a day after major indexes fell for a third consecutive session.

The S&P 500 futures contract was nearly flat, Nasdaq $NDAQ-100 futures fell 0.4%, and Dow Jones Industrial Average futures gained 99 points, or 0.2%.
