Safa are reportedly moving closer to securing the services of Arthur Zwane as Pitso Mosimane’s second assistant coach for Bafana Bafana.
Mosimane took over the reins early this month, replacing Hugo Broos. He quickly roped in his trusted lieutenants Musi Matlaba and Kabelo Rangoaga, who will continue to provide their expertise as an analyst and fitness coach, respectively.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach further bolstered his technical team by appointing Morena Ramoreboli as his first assistant after he stepped down from his role as the Botswana national team head coach.
News emerging this week indicates that Zwane is set to join Mosimane’s camp on a part-time basis. Regarding the details of his appointment, it is reported that he will remain AmaZulu head coach while doubling up as Mosimane’s second assistant. In addition, he will oversee the U23 setup, helping to integrate youngsters into the senior team.
Zwane is no stranger to grooming youth. His impressive stint at AmaZulu has been a result of nurturing young blood and helping them adapt to the high demands of professional football.
