Lizaad Williams reflects on his full-circle return to Boland Park, sharing memories of the union's growth, his relentless competitive drive, and his ambition to earn back his national spot.

Lizaad Williams literally wears his heart on his sleeve.

Tattooed on his left arm is “Vredenburg”, his beloved hometown where he grew up and where, from a young age, he had to fight alongside his single mother for everything he wanted in life.

His second home turned out to be Boland Park in Paarl, where his professional cricket journey started at the age of 16 before he moved into the stadium dormitories after matriculating.

Now, as he approaches his 33rd birthday, the Proteas fast bowler has returned to Dafabet Boland to bring his career full circle following several successful years with the Titans in Gauteng.
