Korea’s Industry Minister Kim Jung-kwan met senior European Union officials to push for closer industrial cooperation and voice concerns over proposed EU supply chain rules. He discussed the EU Industrial Accelerator Act, the Korea-EU Competitiveness Partnership and a planned high-level economic dialogue. Kim said Korea and the EU should deepen cooperation as geopolitical uncertainty, supply chain restructuring and technological competition intensify. He also warned that tighter local-content requirements could constrain trusted free-trade partners such as Korea.
