The Lagos Waste Management Authority has arrested a resident of Meiran, Lagos State, for allegedly dumping refuse into a drainage channel during rainfall.
The arrest was carried out by a joint enforcement team comprising the LAWMA Enforcement Team, the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, popularly known as KAI, and mobile police officers attached to the team.
The suspect, a resident of No. 13, Lanre Adefiranye Street, Baale Bus Stop, Meiran, was arrested following a tip-off received by the enforcement team.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Muyiwa Gbadegesin, disclosed this in a post on his official X account on Wednesday.
