Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has opened up about his ambitions for the season with Nottingham Forest under head coach Oliver Glasner, while also addressing life at the club following the departure of compatriot Taiwo Awoniyi, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The Chelsea academy graduate has been with the Tricky Trees since joining from Italian side Torino in 2023 and has developed into one of the club’s most important players, making 89 appearances across all competitions.
He has featured in all four of Nottingham Forest’s games this season, three in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup, though the club were eliminated from that competition following a 2-0 defeat to Leeds United in the second round.
Aina has now played under six different permanent managers in just over three years at the City Ground, with Glasner, who guided Crystal Palace to three trophies over the past year, the latest to take charge after replacing Vitor Pereira last summer.
Despite the change, Nottingham Forest have endured a difficult start to the new season and remain winless after their opening three Premier League matches, but Aina believes the squad can recover.
