Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Flávio Dino reinstated Federal Police Director-General Andrei Rodrigues and Intelligence Chief Leandro Almada on Wednesday (9). They had been removed from their positions by a previous decision by fellow Supreme Court Justice André Mendonça.

The decision will be submitted exclusively to the Supreme Court’s full bench, currently composed of 10 justices, as one seat is vacant.Dino granted a request from Andrei in an investigation into suspected irregularities involving amendments related to the production of the film "Dark Horse," which portrays former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). The justice ruled that the measure will remain in effect until the Federal Police fully complies with the orders he issued, without interruption resulting from external interference.

The decision was based on the production of an internal Federal Police report used by Alexandre de Moraes to request an investigation into Mendonça himself for abuse of authority, administrative misconduct and a crime of responsibility in the handling of two scandals, involving Banco Master and the INSS.
