MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Energy (DOE) has attracted 11 bidders, including firms backed by infrastructure giants, for its special auction for waste-to-energy (WTE) facilities.

In a media briefing on Monday, Energy Undersecretary Rowena Cristina Guevara said that a total of 11 groups are qualified to join the WTE bidding round, covering 14 projects.
