Malaysia-based luxury senior living and geriatric care provider Hemrish Group plans to establish a 50-villa luxury longevity and retirement estate, Sukha Soleil, in Pantai Indah Lagoi on Bintan Island, Riau Islands. The cooperation was struck through an agreement between Hemrish Group’s Indonesian subsidiary PT Sukha Swarna Mahkota and PT Taman Indah, which manages Pantai Indah Lagoi on Aug. 28, the luxury senior living provider said in a press release issued on Thursday.
The agreement was signed by Hemrish Group chairman and Sukha Swarna Mahkota president N. Raaj Selvarajan and Taman Indah general manager Yudistira Paul Reza Sakul.
“Retirement today is very different from what it was a generation ago. People are living longer, remaining active longer and expecting more from those additional years,” Selvarajan said, as quoted by the release.
“Sukha Soleil is not about retiring from life. It is about having greater freedom to enjoy it.”
Selvarajan said Bintan gave the opportunity to combine private resort living with hospitality, longevity and access to health care in a way that was difficult to replicate in a conventional urban retirement development.
