Beyond Fest is returning to Los Angeles with a full slate of 81 feature films ranging from “Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother” to “Victorian Psycho.”
The festival will feature appearances from M. Night Shyamalan, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dolph Lundgren, Danny DeVito, Al Pacino and Fede Álvarez. Robert Eggers is set to attend a special chronological screening of his films “The Witch,” “The Lighthouse,” “The Northman” and “Nosferatu.” Eggers will also present exclusive material from his upcoming film “Werwulf.”
“Beyond Fest has always existed to erase the false borders between art house and grindhouse, the brand new and the gloriously rediscovered,” said Evrim Ersoy, the head of programming at Beyond Fest. “This year’s program is a maximalist celebration of cinema in every form: major artists, new voices, impossible repertory events and the kind of shared theatrical experiences that can only happen in Los Angeles.”
Lance Oppenheim’s “Primetime” will open the festival, followed by the West Coast premiere of Bassam Tariq’s “Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother.” The festival will also host a 70 mm screening of “Hoffa” with an appearance from producer and director DeVito, as well as screenings of Ken Russell’s “The Devils,” Zachary Wigon’s “Victorian Psycho” and Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson’s “Wicker.”
