Defense Minister Nikos Dendias is scheduled to host his Cypriot counterpart, Vassilis Palmas, for talks in Athens on Thursday.

The meeting will focus on coordination between the Greek and Cypriot defense ministries at both bilateral and European levels. Key areas of discussion will include strengthening European defense readiness, making greater use of EU funding mechanisms for defense, and further expanding cooperation between the defense industries of Greece and the Republic of Cyprus.

Following a one-on-one meeting, Dendias and Palmas will hold expanded talks with their delegations, before making joint statements. They are also expected to discuss regional security challenges.

The meeting is part of the ongoing close defense cooperation between Greece and the Republic of Cyprus.
