Damac Digital and Vodafone Türkiye have cut the ribbon at the build out of the planned Izmir data center in Izmir; a city in western Turkey on the coast of the Aegean Sea.
The data center was first announced by Damac and Vodafone back in 2024 as part of a $100 million data center project.

However, this week, Damac Digital (previously Edgnex) confirmed that total investment in the facility it set to reach $300 million, triple the initial budget.
The facility itself had been due to go live during Q1 of last year, but has cost more than initially expected.
