A Russian drone attacked a crew of energy workers in the Zaporizhzhia region on Wednesday morning, September 9, as they were traveling to repair damage caused by previous shelling.

According to Ukrinform, the Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo reported this on Telegram.

“This morning, a crew from the Zaporizhzhia District Electric Network was traveling to restore power in one of the communities that had been cut off the previous day due to enemy shelling. On the way, the energy workers were attacked by an enemy UAV. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the vehicle sustained extensive damage in the explosion,” said Andrii Stasevskyi, Head of the Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo.

He added that this was already the second targeted attack on energy workers since the beginning of September.
