“Daily Show” host Jon Stewart on Tuesday slammed President Donald Trump for launching a “full-blown trade war” against Canada ― and then trying to work through it using AI-generated memes. Trump has been attacking Canada and Prime Minister Mark Carney by posting images on his Truth Social feed such as this one: Donald Trump on Truth SocialDonald Trump“What the fuck?” Stewart asked after seeing the image. “First of all, I can’t believe AI has gotten so advanced it can fit Trump’s ankles into ice skates.” That’s a reference to the president’s swollen “cankles” caused by his chronic venous insufficiency, a condition that causes blood to pool in the feet. “That’s not real,” Stewart said, zeroing in on Trump’s feet in the image. “That can’t be right. That’s computer-generated.” Trump also tried to change the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America.“Canada’s our second-largest trading partner. Sixty percent of our oil imports come from Canada. Half of our timber. We get parts for cars and planes, not to mention 100% of our Carly Raes Jepsen,” Stewart pointed out. “Why would we be trolling them? Is that the plan ― to troll them into submission?” See more in his Tuesday night “Daily Show” monologue:
